COLUMBUS, Ohio—After two years of virtual graduation ceremonies, members of Columbus College of Art & Design’s Class of 2022 will walk across the Mershon Auditorium stage as the college returns to a fully in-person Commencement on Saturday, May 14, at 10 a.m. Eminent graphic designer Paula Scher will deliver the Commencement address to graduating seniors and Master of Fine Arts students.

The 2022 CCAD Fashion Show relocates to Franklinton Arts District, hosted by Yohannan Terrell. Featuring diverse designs inspired by spirituality, witches, community, Japanese fashion, body positivity, heritage, nature, 1960s drama, and personal transformation.

CCAD celebrates artists with three events this March and April: MFA Thesis Exhibition (March 31–April 23, 2022), Spring Art Fair (April 9, 2022), and Saturday Morning Art Classes Final Exhibition (April 9).

Shorts (Industrial Design, 2006) is the founder/creator-in-chief of Columbus creative agency Artfluential; in addition, he founded the Maroon Arts Group (a collective promoting Black culture and art); has a newsletter, Shut Up and Create; and, with fellow alum—and CCAD Trustee Corey Favor (Illustration, 2003)—is co-founder of artist conference Creative Control Fest.
