CCAD Board of Trustees appoints two new members,names Susan Rector Chair 

Columbus College of Art & Design is pleased to announce the appointment of two new trustees to its Board of Trustees and that Susan Rector, partner, Peterson Conners LLP, will take the helm as Chair. 

Catherine Lang-Cline, president and co-creator, Portfolio Creative, and Heidi Munc, vice president, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, have joined the Board as new trustees, effective July 1, 2023. Rector will serve a two-year term as Chair.

CCAD trustees represent the breadth of impact CCAD has in our community, the importance of creative collaboration to our region, and the diversity of leadership talent across central Ohio,” said Dr. Melanie Corn, president of CCAD. “I’m thrilled to welcome both Catherine and Heidi to the Board, and I'm excited for the unique perspectives they will bring to the CCAD community.”

Rector becomes Chair after seven years on the Board. Rector brings more than 30 years of experience in general business and intellectual property law to the Board, along with an extensive background in advising companies and nonprofit organizations in intellectual property ownership, investments, and general business operations. Rector also brings a deep passion and advocacy for art, design, and higher education with her as she leads the Board in ensuring CCAD remains one of the leading art and design schools in the nation.

The CCAD Board of Trustees is charged with the stewardship of the college and the responsibility of assuring that the institution remains strong, viable, and among the leaders in art and design education. The Board operates with thoughtful oversight of the college's academics, finances, and facilities and their management by the college’s administration. Trustees are cultural, community, and business leaders who serve as volunteers, contributing their time, treasure, and talent to CCAD.
