Financial aid can be a genuine difference maker. Aid comes in many forms and has evolved as student needs have changed over the years. Today, a wide range of grants and loans are available.
Aid begins with FAFSA.
If you’re entering college for the first time, the first thing you need to do is complete your FAFSA. That’s code for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It’s a big deal. Because it determines your eligibility for federal grants, loans and work-study employment and potentially additional aid from CCAD. Here’s how it works:

Go to studentaid.gov to start the application process.
Add CCAD to your list with this code: 003039.
Once we receive your FAFSA results, we’ll be in touch to review next steps.

2024-2025 Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal
