Imagine being on a team that creates life-supporting technology for disabled children. Imagine helping to stop wildfires by developing educational videos that are shared nationwide.
Sound awesome? You can do it. At CCAD, every one of those examples was a real project that partnered a company or community organization with students to create actual, real products and solutions.
Irah Mulrain (Photography, 2026) is getting hands-on experience learning the ins and outs of running a successful art gallery thanks to a summer internship at the Amber Collective in Detroit.
Student teams worked with the Basecamp, one of Airstream’s models designed for outdoor enthusiasts, to explore additional product enhancements, weight-saving measures, and interior concepts.
Big Mouth
Working from a design brief, CCAD students researched current trends, popular culture, product lines, and manufacturing capabilities to identify new potential categories in a two week sprint.
Keep Ohio Beautiful
Four teams of Advertising & Graphic Design students in CCAD’s Advanced Typographic Communication class were tasked with developing concepts and designs for Keep Ohio Beautiful’s 2019 Annual Report, published in 2020. They presented their concepts for the book and page design to the client, who ultimately chose the winning submission.
Easton Town Center
CCAD Fashion Design students crafted festive holiday window displays at Easton Town Center, showcasing creativity and teamwork.
